Speakers’ Bios:

Cody Clayton 
President – Remington Development Corporation

Cody is responsible for shaping the organization’s direction and growth, while providing leadership across all facets of Remington’s daily business operations. He works extensively with the real estate brokerage community and with Fortune 500 tenants and institutions to solve their real estate requirements. Prospects will find a range of satisfied clients who have benefited from Cody’s market insight and his ability to bring action and results to a diverse mix of challenges. Cody’s track record includes design build, suburban office, industrial, retail and land transactions. Cody has a unique ability to identify and secure new development opportunities that benefit a range of businesses, including local, national and international corporations.

Scott Hutcheson
Executive Chair – Aspen Properties

Scott Hutcheson is the Executive Chair of Aspen Properties, a fully integrated, privately held commercial real estate company based in the city of Calgary. Prior to co-founding Aspen Properties in 1998, Scott served as President of a real estate partnership in Florida and was also previously employed as an investment banker for Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York and San Francisco. Scott is an active member in our community, having served on numerous boards across the country. He is currently the Chair of Invest Alberta Corporation, a member of the Board of Directors for Own the Podium, a member of the Advisory Board for Rohit Investments Inc, and a member of the Board of Directors of QuadReal. In recent years, Scott also served as the Chair of Arts Commons, Chair of the Board of the Calgary 2026 Olympic and Paralympic bid for the winter games and Chair of Winsport amongst many other private and not for profit boards. He was an accomplished athlete in his youth, competing as a member of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team from 1978-1982. Hutcheson earned a Master of Science degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Utah.

Scott Taylor
Executive Vice President – Commercial, Western Canada – QuadReal Property Group

Scott Taylor joined QuadReal Property Group in November 2016. As Executive Vice President, Commercial, Western Canada, his priorities are focused on the company’s commercial property portfolio comprising 25 million sq. ft. in Western Canada, including leasing, real estate management, and growth through supporting development and investment initiatives.
He was formerly Senior Vice President of GWL Realty Advisors where he was responsible for overall performance of the commercial property portfolio in the Prairies. Previously, he held senior positions with Trizac Office Properties.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Alberta and a Master’s of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Calgary Chapter of NAIOP, the Corporate Board of NAIOP, and the Business Advisory Board of the Salvation Army, and is Chair of the Salvation Army Hope in the City Luncheon.

David Routledge 
Vice-President & Head of Western Canada Office – Oxford Properties Group

David Routledge serves as the Vice President and Head of Western Canada Office at Oxford Properties Group. With 35 years of experience in real estate investment, management, and development, he currently oversees Oxford Properties’ 6 million square foot mixed-use property construction and management portfolio in Calgary and Vancouver. Under Mr. Routledge’s leadership, the Western Region’s team of 150 employees has supported the successful development of seven office projects totaling 4 million square feet.  Mr. Routledge holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary, majoring in Finance. He also completed the ICD program through the Institute of Corporate Directors. He was appointed to the Mount Royal University (MRU) Board of Governors, chairing the MRU Campus Development Committee, and is a member of their Governance and Nominating Committee. Additionally, Mr. Routledge serves on the Calgary Health Foundation’s (CHF) Board of Directors, where he has held several leadership roles, including Vice-Chair.
