Committee Overview
The Sustainability Committee is responsible for promoting public awareness
of the issues being faced in commercial real estate regarding sustainability.
This topic is the fastest growing issue in the U.S. right now and
NAIOP is devoting considerable resources in becoming proactive
in the field of understanding. The goal of this committee is to
position NAIOP Calgary as a resource that members and the general
public can call upon to direct them to additional sources of information
pertaining to sustainability, and to allow the general public to
demystify the issues and better understand the various bodies involved
in these sustainability issues. The board is currently seeking
committee members who can help build a sustainability section
for the NAIOP Calgary website by contributing content in the way
of case studies, articles, links and general information on sustainability
issues.
